ninja tune records have kindly allowed aus music to release some of sideshows deep, intensely dubbed-out interpretations of the latest fink album sort of revolution, the critically acclaimed international singer-songwriters third album for the legendary stable. on the vinyl we have the two sideshow rubs of the albums lead singles. sort of dubolution (a dub of the albums title track), comes as a classic sideshow live dub epic, drenched in fink?s signature vocals alongside an earth-moving bass line. follower dub it all (an edit of finkssee it all) is a stabbier, angular take on the original reminiscent of scubas recent late-night masterpieces.

tejada and humphrey made their debut together late in 09 with their >marooned ep<. >assimilation< continues the theme of being marooned in los angeles. the four works compiled here are the result of the best moments out of 20 recording sessions. the music is for the most part assembled with analog instruments with humphrey and tejada bringing their modular gear together for the sessions. humphreys knowledge of synths and programming is quite extensive. he until recently helped operate la based big city music, a dealer of modular and boutique synthesizers.

las wax returns with a tight two-tracker of deep techno-house couresy of japans takayuki higo. this is definitely a departure from the typical wax sound, but this record still works nicely. a-side >big head house< has a dope minimal detroit feel to it and fits nicely with some of the recent techy output on wave. flip for >wicked tokyo< which is a blissfuldeep tech excursion for the late night sets. if you like francois ks techno side and jeff mills going deep, you will dig this newie.

g.i.disco - an 80s history of cold war s hottest music in west-germany berlin local dj heroes kalle kuts and daniel w. best a.k.a. g.i.disco have compiled an excellent 80s soul, funk, r & b and disco selection. it combines representative music of that time with informative liner notes about the german historical background (which also is an important part of 20th century s world history), international artist quotes and worldwide renowned art by berlin based photographer frank thiel to an unique history lesson and listening experience. soul, funk and r&b from the us became a worldwide dance and clubbing movement during the 70s when it turned disco. in the late 70s and 80s more and more new electronic instruments like synthesizers and drum machines were added to the horn riffs and piano licks, bringing the funk back on the dance floor while still leaving it s soul untouched. although a global success story, it played an interesting role especially in the german experience. lp comes in gatefold sleeve.

super limited 12 inch in screen printed sleeve with bing ji ling and barck+prommer remixes ... limited to just 300 copies, pressed on delicious 180 gram vinyl and presented in a silk-screen printed sleeve, >make you mine< is quite the 12 inch to get your hands on this autumn! the opening track of incarnations forthcoming debut album >with all due respect< is a sundrenched balearic bomb if ever there was one. handsome threesome daniel collas, quinn luke (akabing ji ling) and bart davenport soaked up all the good vibes of the tarifa studio on the south-coast of spain, just in front of africa, where the mediterranean sea and the atlantic ocean meet, and transformed them into little over three-and-a-half minutes of pure loving goodness, reminiscent of the 70s west coast sounds among many other things. on remix duties we have christian prommer and alex >jazzanova< barck taking the track into the late night territory with an epic deep-house stormer, while bing ji ling makes those lazy sofa surfers get up and boogie while the sun is setting with a strong ny flavour.

steve laviers motivators collective return with their second release on the excellent here and now recordings! following on from the success of the first 12 (which included jobu being licensed to the legendary jazz bizniz compilation series and a remix by reverso 68) these new tracks continue in the vein of raw, live, polyrhythmic grooves. on the a-side, boosters on is a driving energy-packed track with the former manu dibango rhythm section of noel ekwabi and conti bilong being impressively complemented by yam whos des morgan on congas and bongos. keys are provided by afrika mhkinse (who played with the late great miriam makeba) and faze actions multi-talented rob lee. trombone is laid down by tony trombony hayden who has played with numerous acts including quantic soul orchestra. last but by no means least, vocals come courtesy of hannah khemoh who has most recently been touring as backing vocalist for the incomparable grace jones! on the flip, r2 is a laid-back improvised afro-jazz session, with the musicians laying down some serious feel-good sounds. all this produced by rob lee in the faze action studio.

what a strident effort at night in cologne-hattan. chris baumanns profession is that of a sound-fiddling flame thrower. his tracks in this case as a limited, grey-marbled vinyl are pleasant deep house/house blueprints made for memorable late night club sessions with escapist floor excesses in the open rhythm scope of house, tech house and dub techno.

bergerac is the new record label set up by uk producer and dj red rack’em (aka danny berman) to showcase the more dancefloor end of his music productions. danny is well known for his wonky disco outings as hot coins on tirk and also his deep as hell beatdown house on untracked. his style of production and djing have recently taken a slightly more banging angle due to the influence of larger scale festival gigs such as glastonbury, snowbombing and the big chill. so it seemed like the perfect time to start a label focussing on house and techno for the more discerning dancefloor. the label artwork will feature bespoke illustrations from german artist silke eiselt of all the houses danny has lived in chronologically. how much more fucking house can you get than that? how i program is a raw, heads down, whacked out banger, which straddles the wafer thin divide between house and techno with aplomb. with a massive loud donking bass noise, seedy late night atmosphere and danny shouting about how he programs his shit - this is some freaky deaky peak time business. next up is bonn, a warm crackly rhodes driven halcyon house moment, which evokes the slightly majestic and nostalgic vibe of people dancing alone together in a hot room at the end of the night. cheering sourced directly from bonn in 1982 mixes with naive keywork and distant female chants the first bergerac ep closes with it happens to us all, which could be an ode to prematurely greying men, the onset of senility or occasional farting in public places. its definitely a prime slice of wrong house with some seriously french hi hats and dubbed out bassline action though. yes, its more syncopated than an exploding castanet factory but thats how we like that kind of funk

carte blanche (mehdi and riton) crank out a top-shelf banger, already getting big plays by tiga and brodinski. aeroplane slows down the tempo and glides the waterbed out onto the dancefloor. h.i.t.

>that placid track< has been in the hands of some lucky individuals for some time now, making its way across dancefloors from berlin to new york, bristol to tokyo.
dark disco references are heavy throughout with a great use of strings licks, a slo-motion vocal sample and a classic cowbell keeping everything nicely in check. as with most of octobers productions though he still has one foot firmly inside berghainrendering this essentially disco track into something with more of a late night, broody edge.

the b.t.s are a detroit deep house live act crew. this is there first release in the world. the ex-member of underground resistance, derwin hall bang the dam walls down with this groove. this remake track with the late ron banks vox sample >treat me like man< is a detroit killer! derwin had some extra production on the drums by delano smith. this track is so hot, me (eddie fowlkes) and my momma had to get this for the cityboy music. what a great track for their first release.the black exterrestrials come back with >the journey< on the flip side. this deep minimal soul house groove has that element of a underground banger with euro flavor - with lead vocal by angie sexy ass!

for this 10th wph release we looked towards belgiums finest raoul lambert aka raoul belmans aka one half of swirl people to follow up on his splendid wph blue b-side track 3 seconds released late 2009. raoul quickly sent us cinnamon dreams, the result of a long valencia-session with friend and fellow producer nacho marco, during which they apparently ate the whole spanish supply of belgian speculoospasta, a specialty that cannot be translated in english, but it contains cinnamon, hence the name of the track and the ep

right in time for summer oslo presents us two promising talents from romania named noidoi. they fit perfectly into the exceptional talent round of oslo and let us hope on a hot summer. aprilli 9 on the a side is a classic piece with wonderful house chords, which kept the audience by his extraordinary sound. noidoi opens up on the b side with aprilli 6, a title with no less high quality. the sound is definite more electronic pronounced than on the a side. trebor, impulsive and at the same time groovie is ideally suited for the somewhat late hour and rounds the ep off with his deepen mood.

our favorite african producer mr raoul k is back to mule musiq. this new single is a first single cut from his new (debut?) album which coming in the late this year or beg of next year. raoul k recorded all instruments like african traditinal guitar cora in africa and he added his unique psychdelic touch. the result is a playful african deep house.
